Youth is the backbone for the development of any country. Recently, along with the politics of Nepal, the leadership of the youth in various fields is being disrupted. But to reach leadership or to take leadership is not just about being young, one needs the ability and qualities needed for a leader.

Barry Posner and James M. Kouzes wrote after a long research in the book "The Leadership Challenge" and explained the four main qualities that should not be in a leader . According to the author, any leader must be 'honest, capable, inspiring and pioneering'. In addition, good knowledge about the field of activity, willpower and  Confidence, ability to motivate, responsibility and accountability as well as speaking ability are essential qualities for leadership. 

is an organization that has been working for a long time to improve leadership skills by developing similar qualities in youth, Nepal Jaycees . Nepal Jaycees is a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI), which has been recognized as a leading organization for developing leadership and personality at the international level.

120 countries including Nepal JCI have received membership of JCI . Each member state is called a National Organization Member (NOM). A branch under each NOM is called a Local Organization Member (LOM). 

49 years after the establishment of International Jaycees in 1964, Nepal Jaycees was established under the leadership of Senator Bhesh Bahadur Thapa. Currently there are more than 15 thousand active members in 178 local chapters of JCI Nepal. JCI Nepal is the seventh largest member country of JCI International. In its 61st year, thousands of young people have joined Nepal Jaycees. Since its inception, it has been participating in various training and programs not only in accessible areas, but also in remote areas.

organization has been doing various trainings for the development of leadership and personality skills of youth from 18 to 40 years of age. Youth-centric Jaycees make their members aware of their responsibility towards the society and the country. Will participate in the development . 

In this sense, Jaycees is an informal university. If you are a member of the organization, the subject of study is 'Leadership and Personality Development'. And, university study, teaching area all over the world . Eternal truth and living thought never die, truisms live to keep living thought alive and it is Jessie's clear opinion that life has no meaning when living thought dies. 

This is where I got the opportunity to lead for one year . From the 50th convention of the Jaycees held in December 2080, I was elected as the President of the Jaycees for the year 2024 . It was an opportunity as well as a challenge for me to lead Jaycees at the age of thirty.

During my one-year tenure, I divided the work area of ​​national vice presidents with the aim of contributing to efficient leadership and successful personality development to conscientious young people through training. Raising and growing the beautiful plants of all 181 branches all over Nepal is definitely Jaycee's love . Likewise, focusing on the great potential of bringing economic revolution in Nepal through the tourism sector, activities such as capacity building through discussion and interaction, and creation of annual programs have been done under my leadership. 

Purification of Kapil Vastu, training in business and entrepreneurship was provided to young businessmen and professionals in programs held in the touristic city of Pokhara. During this one year period, Jaycees was able to provide various trainings and counseling targeting young people who are under mental stress due to slow business and increasing unemployment after the covid epidemic. 

Apart from that, Jaycees has conducted various trainings for connecting the youth with agricultural profession, introducing new technology in agriculture and professionalizing and modernizing the coffee business . Including these, more than 20 planned actions of international JCs have been effectively implemented and Nepal JCs has also received an honor from the international JCs for bringing positive changes in the society.
