One person has gone missing due to floods and landslides in Tasinam and Mulkhar of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality–9.

At around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, 73-year-old Chasman Tamang of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality–9 went missing after a flood in the Sipring stream swept away a cowshed. Police have stated that the search for him is ongoing. According to Gaurishankar–9 Chairperson Nimgeli Sherpa, the flood also swept away 30 goats and 12 cows and oxen along with Tamang and the cowshed.

Similarly, he said that a landslide in various neighborhoods of Tasinam swept away one house and damaged five others. He stated that efforts are underway to relocate the affected people to safe locations.

The Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police have rescued those affected by the floods and landslides and taken them to safe places. Likewise, due to the flood, seven houses in the lower part of the same ward are at risk. After the flood swept away the dam of the 9.54-megawatt Sipring Khola Hydropower Project, electricity production has stopped. The village's road network has been cut off after landslides damaged the footpath leading to Tasinam.
