UML is going to withdraw its support from the government by getting its ministers to resign en masse from the Bagmati Province government.
UML Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party leader Jagannath Thapaliya said that all the ministers of his party in the provincial government are preparing to resign by Tuesday evening. 'We will meet the Chief Minister as much as possible, if the environment for meeting is not created, we will resign via email,' said the parliamentary party leader Thapaliya.
The UML Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party's meeting on Monday concluded that they will not resign from the government immediately and will take further decisions only after receiving clear instructions from the party center. Minister Kiran Thapa, without portfolio, said that they are preparing to resign now as the party central leadership and the parliamentary party leader have also instructed them to resign en masse.

There are 6 UML ministers in the Bagmati government. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, 8 of the 14 ministries currently in the province have been reduced to 8. Implementing the decision from July 1, 8 ministers have been given responsibilities while 6 ministers were kept as ministers without portfolios.
The Bagmati government includes Madhusudan Poudel, Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forests and Environment, Bindu Shrestha, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Labor and Transport, Dr. Dinesh Chandra Devkota, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, and Kiran Thapa Magar, Jayaram Shrestha and Bharat Bahadur KC, ministers from the UML.
