As per the forecast of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of heavy and very heavy rainfall across the country, a complete ban has been imposed on night-time vehicle operations in Dhading district.
The District Administration Office, Dhading, issued a notice on Sunday night and made the decision.
The administration took this step after the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and Singha Durbar Kathmandu informed that there is a high risk of vehicle movement at night in Chitwan, Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot and other districts.
According to the notice, all public and private vehicles will not be allowed to ply from 10:00 pm on Shrawan 3 to 05:00 am on Shrawan 4 to protect the lives of the general public. However, essential services such as ambulances, fire engines and security vehicles will continue to operate, according to a statement issued by Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandey (Gautam).
