A scooter swept away by the Simkhola in Indrasarovar, Makawanpur has been found. The driver, however, has not been found. The scooter, which was swept away by the flood of the Simkhola under the Kulekhani Dam while coming from Kathmandu to Hetauda on Monday afternoon, was found on Tuesday.
According to the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi, the high flow of the flood in the Simkhola located in Indrasarovar-2 under the short-distance Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road section connecting Hetauda-Kathmandu, washed away the scooter along with the driver.
A Honda Aviator scooter bearing the registration number BPR. 02-032 Cha 8054 was found in the river about 100 meters down the road, according to the District Police, Makawanpur. The driver of the scooter is still missing.
According to the blue book found on the scooter, the owner of the scooter is Mahesh Karki of Sarlahi. Makawanpur police spokesperson DSP Madhav Prasad Kafl said that it is not yet clear who was driving the scooter. Police said that they are searching for the driver in the river.
