Due to continuous rain since Monday afternoon, various areas of Chitwan have been flooded. Due to the landslide, the Chitwan District Administration Office issued a notice yesterday evening and banned vehicles from plying on the Narayangadh-Muglin road until further notice.
The Division Road Office has also reported that a landslide occurred on the road on Tuesday morning. But the water and flood levels in the Narayani and its other tributaries Trishuli, Rapti, Riu and Lothar are below the warning level.
According to the online update of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the water level in Devghat in Narayani was 5.7 meters as of 8 am on Tuesday. The water level here exceeds the warning level when it reaches 7.3 meters and exceeds the danger level when it reaches nine meters. The flood level in Devghat is stable.
The flood level in Lothar Khola and Riu Khola is also below the warning point . The level of Riu Khola is increasing in Madi Bankatta . The flood level in Lothar Khola, which merges with Rapti Khola, is stable . The flood level in Trishuli in Bhorle and Kalikhola in Chitwan region is below the warning point and decreasing . The flood level in Makwanpur area of Rapti Khola, which merges with Narayani in Chitwan, is also below the warning point .
