The District Administration Office, Makawanpur, has issued an urgent notice banning vehicle operations on two major road sections after incessant rains caused floods, landslides and increased water flow in rivers and canals in various places.
According to the administration, due to the rains since the night of Asad 28, the roads have been blocked and the risk of accidents has increased, so considering the safety of passengers, vehicular movement has been suspended from Chowkitol, Hetauda on the Hetauda-Bhainse-Bhimphedi-Deurali-Sisneri-Kathmandu road section from Asad 29 to 5 am on Asad 30.
Similarly, the administration has stated that vehicular movement has been suspended from Chowghada on the Hetauda-Tikabhairav-Bagmati-Lalitpur road section from Asad 29 to 5 pm until further notice.
The District Administration Office has urged the concerned bodies, transport entrepreneurs, drivers and the general public not to operate vehicles at the specified time and place and to stay in safe places and to continue to follow official information regarding weather and road conditions.
