The Chitwan District Administration Office has banned travel via the Narayangadh-Muglin road after a landslide blocked the road.

The road has been blocked since Monday evening after landslides occurred in the Tuin Khola and Seti Dobhan sections of the road.

Chitwan Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal issued a notice on Monday evening, informing that vehicular movement has been suspended on the Narayangadh-Muglin road until further notice. The Narayangadh-Muglin road is the main road connecting Kathmandu and Pokhara to the east and west of the country. There is also a high risk of landslides on this road. It has been raining continuously in Chitwan since Monday afternoon.
