There are zero cases pending for more than a year in the Patan Hetauda Bench of the High Court. The Hetauda Bench has managed to finalize all the cases pending for more than a year till Tuesday.
‘In the last financial year, 480 cases were pending for finalization, all those old cases have been finalized till Tuesday’ Badri Lamichhane, Deputy Registrar and Spokesperson of the Patan Hetauda Bench of the High Court, said, ‘We have finalized 1247 cases including 480 cases from the last financial year till Tuesday.’
With the transfer of responsibility for the financial year 081/082, the Hetauda Bench had 1649 cases in the financial year 082/083. Out of these, 1247 or 75.6 percent cases have been finalized, the Patan Hetauda Bench of the High Court has stated. Now, only 402 cases are pending to be finalised.
Out of 1727 cases registered in the last fiscal year, 1247 cases or 72.30 were finalised. There are 7 vacancies of judges in the Hetauda bench. Out of the 7 vacancies, 6 judges are working. All the working judges are women. There are 61 vacancies including judges in the Patan Hetauda bench of the High Court. Out of them, 53 employees are working. Out of which 29 are women and 24 are men.
The jurisdiction of the Patan Hetauda bench of the High Court located in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-2 is Makawanpur and Chitwan districts.
Similarly, during the Gen-G movement on 23 and 24 Bhadra, damage worth Rs. 35.318 crore was caused due to vandalism and arson. The arson attack damaged computers, furniture, courtrooms, vehicles, and the court building. The damaged building was repaired and regular court services resumed a month later.
