The budget of the Bagmati Province Government for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084 has been passed by a majority. The meeting of the Province Assembly held on Saturday passed the bill to implement the finance-related proposal and the Appropriation Bill 2083 by a majority.
In the meeting, the proposal submitted by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang to allocate some amount from the Provincial Consolidated Fund for the services and work of the province government for the fiscal year 2083/084 and to approve the finance-related proposal of the province government was passed by a majority.
The proposal submitted by Minister Tamang was presented for decision by Deputy Speaker Apsara Chapagain. The opposition MPs opposed the proposal presented by Deputy Speaker Chapagain for decision. Since there were more MPs in favor of the proposal, Deputy Speaker Chapagain announced that the government's Appropriation Bill and Finance Bill were passed by a majority.
