Landslides in various parts of the Hetauda-Kathmandu road section under the Kanti Lokpath have disrupted traffic since Tuesday morning.
The Kanti Lokpath was closed due to a landslide in the Thigan area of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 on Tuesday morning. While work to remove the landslide was underway since morning, another landslide occurred in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 Bharyangdanda on the Kanti Lokpath, causing the road to be blocked.
Police have stated that the road is difficult to operate immediately due to the large landslide on the road. The area has been receiving heavy rain since morning, so the landslides have not stopped. Vehicles plying on the Hetauda-Kathmandu route have been stopped due to the road being blocked due to the landslide.
