A fire broke out at the Transport Management Office in Thanabharyang, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11, affecting the driver's license service.
The Transport Management Office, Hetauda under the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Transport, issued a notice on Sunday stating that a fire broke out at the office's intranet system at 8:40 am, damaging the driver's license system.
According to office officer Teknath Kafle, due to the damage, services including new license applications, category additions, biometrics and license renewals have been suspended until further notice.
However, the office stated that the trial exam will continue as per the previously published schedule. In a notice issued by the office's branch officer Kafle, the office stated that preparations are underway to assess the damage caused by the fire and to re-operate the system.
