The sixth Thaha Gold Cup football tournament is set to be held in Thaha Municipality in the northern part of Makawanpur from Wednesday.
Kumar Rayamajhi, vice-chairman of the organizing club, said that preparations for the tournament, which will be held at the sports ground at Indayanimai Chaur in Thaha Municipality, have reached the final stage.
Seven teams have participated in the tournament, which will be run under the management of Shikhar Club Shikharkot with the financial support of Thaha Municipality. Six teams are from Thaha Municipality. One is from Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu.
The winner of the tournament, which will be held until Asad 6, will receive 200,000 rupees and the runner-up 100,000 rupees. The best player in the tournament will receive 12,500 rupees and the best keeper, best defender and high-scorer will receive 6,250 rupees each.
