Vehicular movement on the BP Highway has been suspended in view of the potential risk due to high water flow in the Roshi River due to rain.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kavre, heavy rain has been continuously falling in various places in Kavrepalanchok district since 12:30 pm on Tuesday. He informed that as the water level in the Roshi River increased with the rain, the movement of all types of vehicles operating on the Kavre section of the BP Highway has been suspended for the time being, keeping in mind the safety of passengers and vehicles.
He said that vehicles currently passing through the highway have been held at Dhulikhel in the district and at Khurkot and Nepalthok in collaboration with Sindhuli district. The police have requested that people travel only after getting information about the road conditions.
