The highway, which was closed due to the rising water level in the Roshi River due to rain, has been reopened since 4:10 pm on Tuesday. Vehicular traffic on the road section has been reopened after the water flow in the Roshi River has reduced, informed Chief Police Inspector Sunil Dhanju of the District Traffic Police Office, Kavre.
All vehicular traffic on the BP Highway was banned from 12:30 pm on Tuesday after the water flow in the Roshi River increased.
As the weather may still remain adverse, the traffic police have requested passengers and drivers to exercise caution while traveling.
