Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has reorganized the Council of Ministers. After four UML ministers resigned on Wednesday, he appointed four ministers from the UML quota.
Chief Minister Acharya has recommended the Province Chief to reorganize the Council of Ministers as per Article 168 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal. Five new ministers have been included in the reorganized Council of Ministers. Four ministers have been appointed from UML and one from JSP, and ministerial responsibilities have also been assigned.
Under the reorganized Council of Ministers, UML has given Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary of Rupandehi the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, Ramji Prasad Ghimire of Arghakhachi the Ministry of Health, Ratna Bahadur Khatri of Banke the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, and Dilliraj Bhusal of Gulmi the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
Similarly, Bhandari Lal Ahir of JSP has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law. Earlier, Aadesh Kumar Agrawal of JSP was the Minister of Internal Affairs and Planning. The Chief Minister, who was not satisfied with Agrawal's performance, removed him and appointed Ahir as the minister. Since Lumbini Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar is outside Lumbini Province, the oath-taking of the new ministers is scheduled to take place on Monday, Jestha 25.
