Makawanpur Police have seized a vehicle carrying illegal Sal wood from Hetauda.
A police team deployed from Ward Police Office Sanopokhara, Hetauda, on Friday morning, on the basis of a special information, tried to stop a Yodha vehicle (Ba.20 Cha 1861) coming from Chaughada towards Hetauda at Campadanda, Hetauda-5.
The vehicle fled on seeing the police, and the team chased it and took it under control from the inner road section at Sanopokhara Chowk, Hetauda-2.
During the search of the vehicle, 41 pieces of Sal wood were recovered while it was hidden under a tarpaulin, according to the police. The quantity of wood recovered is 72.59 cubic feet.
