A car caught fire after a stone fell from the road on Thursday afternoon in Tuinkhola near Muglin on the Narayangadh-Muglin road, hitting its fuel tank.
The fire in the car has been brought under control and there were no casualties, Chitwan Police said.
DSP Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office, said the incident took place around 3:15 pm.
The car, which was heading from Narayangadh to Muglin, was caught on fire after a rock fell on it. There is a risk of landslides and rock falls in the Tuin River. Last year, landslides caused a lot of trouble here during the rainy season. This time too, the rock falls and road closures have started since April 20.
