The Kanti Lokpath has been blocked by landslides in Bharyangdanda, Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8, Makawanpur, and Pangdure, Bagmati Rural Municipality-4, Lalitpur on Sunday morning.
The road has been blocked since 5 am due to landslides in two places in Makawanpur and Lalitpur areas of the Kantilokpath. Locals, police and Road Department employees are working to remove the landslides in both places.
Due to the landslide, vehicles going from Hetauda to Kathmandu via Kanti Lokpath have been stopped at Thigan, while vehicles coming from Kathmandu have been stopped towards Chhaimale. Pramod Kumar Sah, Deputy Inspector of Police at the Area Police Office, Thigan, said that the road will be opened soon as the work of removing the landslide is underway.
