The 'First International Conference 2026' organized by the Research Management Cell of Neelkantha Multiple Campus, Dhading has concluded in Dhadingbesi.
The international conference held in Dhadingbesi on Friday and Saturday with the main objective of empowering the community through education, research and entrepreneurship concluded with the exchange of knowledge and experience. Renowned professors, researchers and experts in the field of education from 7 different countries including Nepal participated in the conference.
The conference, which was held with the belief of expanding educational cooperation, promoting research and exchanging innovative ideas from local to international levels, emphasized on how entrepreneurship and teaching and learning methods can be transformed.
Various sessions were conducted in the conference on how to connect students studying higher education to business, business and entrepreneurship, how to transform teaching and learning, and how to connect students with life-useful and skill-based education. National and international speakers from various fields including education, management, and environmental science presented papers in the main and plenary sessions, said conference coordinator and assistant campus chief of Nilkantha Campus Yubaraj Subedi.
According to campus chief Murari Adhikari, students studying in various universities, teachers, and young people wandering in search of a career also participated in the conference.
The conference had a wide-ranging debate on contemporary educational issues, entrepreneurship, innovative teaching methods, and research potential through panel discussions. The participants experienced that the research aspect should be taken forward and the scope of knowledge was also broadened.
Participants from different countries felt that it played an important role in expanding educational relations between the two countries, exchanging learning, and experiences. Bishnu Subedi Gaire, Campus Head of Walling Campus, Syangja, said, 'I feel that this conference has broadened the scope of knowledge a little bit due to all the presenters, participants, as well as the interactions that took place in the plenary sessions, the dialogues that took place, and the main points of the keynote speakers.'
Similarly, Farah Litpage, who participated as a speaker from the United States, said that such opportunities provide teachers with an opportunity to come together and learn from each other.
Professors understand that such conferences, on the one hand, will become a network to exchange learning achievements and on the other hand, they will help to deepen research. Professor Dr. Balchandra Luintel, Dean of Kathmandu University, said that such conferences are an important medium for that. 'This conference is a platform to share research after doing it in the traditional way, where you can know what opinions others have on your research and what questions they ask. This is a very important platform to get to know each other and collaborate in research and study.'
The university understands that such academic conferences will improve the standard of higher education. Accordingly, it is encouraging such conferences and it will contribute not only to knowledge, but also to the dissemination of good practices, analysis of knowledge and bringing it to the global market, said Dr. Peshal Khanal, a professor at Tribhuvan University.
The conference, which was organized by the Neelkantha Multipurpose Campus in Mofasal and lasted for two days in Dhadingveshi, has been taken with great importance by the leaders of the education sector. On the one hand, this conference explored possibilities, and on the other hand, the participants said that it also opened the door to collaboration with different countries and exchange of experience in research and study to improve the quality of education. The campus has also stated that such a conference will be organized again.
