Educational consultancy organizations operating in the Banepa area of Kavrepalanchok have been monitored.
During the monitoring conducted by a joint team of the District Administration Office, Kavre and the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kavre on Friday, most of the consultancies were found to be operating without permission. According to Sabita Dangal, head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kavre, the monitoring team had inspected 13 educational consultancies operating in various places in Banepa. During that time, only 6 consultancies were found to be operating legally, while 2 consultancies were found to be providing services without permission, she said. According to her, they were operating without permission, but when they reached the monitoring site, it was found that IELTS Ghar Banepa, Super Life Educational Consultancy, Maven Consulting Group, Bajau International Academy and Sharp Education had locked the Banepa offices and fled.
The monitoring team had locked the offices of SS Double Nihon Dream Center and Green Mountain Education Consultancy, which were operating without permission. Similarly, UNMEI Education and Consulting Center, Hachiko Language and Training Center Pvt Ltd, Banepa SY Consultancy, Crypton Educational Consultancy, Sora International Education Institute Pvt Ltd, B&B Consultancy were found to be operating with permission, she said.
According to Sunita Thapa, Administrative Officer of the District Administration Office Kavre, clear instructions have been given not to allow these consultancies to resume operation until the necessary procedures are completed. Similarly, the operators of 5 consultancies were found to have closed their offices and were out of contact when the monitoring team arrived, due to which further investigation and action will be taken against these institutions.
