Shrestha elected as president of Bagmati Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry

He was elected as the president of the Sindhupalchowk Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the election held in Hetauda on Tuesday, defeating former president Ved Bahadur Durgaraj Shrestha.

Ved Bahadur Shrestha has been elected as the Bagmati Province President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Ved Bahadur was elected as the President by defeating Durgaraj Shrestha in the election held in Hetauda on Tuesday. 

Ved Bahadur, former President of Sindhupalchowk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was elected with 61.05 percent votes, while Durgaraj received 38.95 percent votes. 

217 votes were cast in the election, including substantive, associate and district/city. Krishna Kumar Gupta, outgoing President of Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, won the district/city Vice President position. 

Krishna Bhakta Shrestha was unanimously elected as Associate Vice President. Prem Hari Mainali was elected as substantive Vice President with 14 votes.  Rudra Bahadur Khatri, former President of Dhading Chamber of Commerce and Industry, won the treasurer position with 97 votes. 

Krishnamurari Neupane (Bhaktapur), Jayaprakash Shrestha (Ramechhap), Rajkumar Kandel (Chitwan), Rajan Karki (Kavrepalanchok) and Sanat Thapa (Dolakha) were unanimously elected as executive members from the district/city side.

Uttam Sharma Dhakal (Makawanpur) and Navindra Dev Singh were elected as associate executive members, while Jyotiratna Bajracharya (Makawanpur) and Sadish Shrestha were elected as substantive executive members.
