On the recommendation of the provincial government's Council of Ministers meeting held on Sunday, Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota has called the 17th session of the Provincial Assembly.
Deputy Speaker Apsara Chapagain informed that all preparations for the meeting have been completed. According to her, an all-party meeting will be held at 1 pm before the session and a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee will be held at 2 pm. The Provincial Assembly Secretariat has stated that the agenda of the session will be decided through these meetings.
The meeting could not be held for a long time after the structures including the Provincial Assembly Secretariat and the assembly hall were damaged during the Gen-G movement.
The session was affected due to the same reason. Tuesday's meeting will be held at the Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City Hall in Hetauda-2. The assembly hall has been reconstructed after it was damaged during the movement.
The government is preparing to hold meetings from here until a permanent building for the Provincial Assembly is constructed. The post was vacant after the then Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak resigned from the post during the Gen-G movement.
