One person died and two were injured when they were electrocuted while burying an iron pole for electricity extension in Moregaun, Gadhi Rural Municipality-2, Makawanpur.
Police said that 5/6 locals were electrocuted after touching the high-tension line above the pole while burying the electricity pole. Upon receiving the news, a police team from the District Police Office Makawanpur reached the spot, rescued the injured and sent them to Churehill Hospital, Hetauda for treatment.
During treatment, Rajkumar Gole, aged 30/35, of Mapung, Gadhi Rural Municipality-2, Makawanpur, was declared dead by the doctor at 5:45 pm.
Similarly, the condition of Man Bahadur Gole, aged 50/55, of Sandanda, Gadhi Rural Municipality-7, Makawanpur, is moderate, while the condition of Rajkumar Syangtan, aged 30, of More, Gadhi Rural Municipality-2, Makawanpur, is normal, according to the police. Police have informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
