Traffic operations have been suspended on the BP Highway. Traffic operations have been suspended on the Bhakunde-Nepalthok section of the highway from 7 pm on Tuesday, considering the risk of rain, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Kavre. According to him, due to heavy rains in Panauti, Namobuddha, Katunje, Mangaltar, Kavrebhanjyang and other places, traffic operations have been suspended considering the risk of flooding in the Roshi Khol and the risk of it reaching the highway. He said that vehicles are currently being held in Kavrebhanjyang and Nepalthok. According to him, traffic has been held and managed in coordination with neighboring Sindhuli district. The police have requested the public to travel only after understanding the condition of the highway.
