Traffic has resumed on the BP Highway. Traffic was suspended on the Bhakunde-Nepalthok section of the highway from 7 pm on Tuesday due to the risk of rain.
The District Police Office, Kavre, has stated that traffic has resumed as the rain has stopped and the risk has reduced. Heavy rain has been falling in places including Panauti, Namobuddha, Katunje, Mangaltar, Kavrebhanjyang since the evening.
Traffic has been operating on the under-construction BP Highway from Chowkidanda to Nepalthok by making a temporary track in the Roshi River. Due to which, the highway is blocked as soon as it rains.
Since the evening, vehicles have been kept on hold in Kavrebhanjyang and Nepalthok and have now been sent to their destinations, according to the police.
