The Muglin-Malekhu section of the Prithvi Highway will be closed from 10 pm on Tuesday to 4 am. This road will be closed for 6 hours at night until Thursday, Chaitra 19.

During this time, preparations are being made to stop buses and trucks at different places. The Nagdhunga-Malekhu-Muglin road is under expansion. The road is being closed for this expansion.

The Nagdhunga Muglin road project has had to be closed for wall cutting near Muglin, Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-4, in the western section of the project, said Engineer Sachendra Mishra, Information Officer of the western section. According to him, buses going to Kathmandu via Chitwan will be stopped around Jugedi and Dasdhunga. Mishra said that buses going to Kathmandu from Pokhara will stop at Aanbukhairani.

Similarly, trucks going to Kathmandu via Chitwan will stop at Gaindakot, Tandi, Gondrang, Ramnagar and trucks going to Kathmandu from Pokhara will stop at Bimalnagar. Trucks leaving Kathmandu will stop around Bishaltar and Majhimtar.

The work on the expansion of the western section of the Nagdhunga Muglin road project from Malekhu to Muglin, which was to be completed in three years, began on December 30, 2022. Information Officer Engineer Sachendra Mishra said that only 41 percent of the work was completed by last December. The deadline for the work has been extended by 180 days after the work was not completed.
