The Makawanpur District Court has sentenced a man to 45 years in prison for raping his daughter. The court has also ordered the perpetrator to pay a fine of 7.5 lakh rupees and compensation to the victim.
The bench of Makawanpur District Court Judge Purnima Koirala held on Sunday, finding a 39-year-old father of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4 to rape his 10-year-old daughter.
The court's information officer Keshav Raj Kaushik said that the verdict was 20 years in prison for rape and an additional 25 years for incest. Kaushik informed that the court has ordered the perpetrator to provide the victim with a fine of 7 lakh rupees and compensation of 50 thousand rupees, totaling 7.5 lakh rupees.
