The police have taken both the vehicle and the driver that hit the pedestrian into custody and are taking legal action.

Two pedestrians have died in a collision between a bus and a Bolero in Banepa. A 16-year-old local, Rajesh Tamang, died in a collision with a bus in Tinghre, Banepa Municipality-3.

Tamang, who was injured in the collision with the bus, died at Sheer Memorial Hospital during treatment, informed DSP Rabin Bista, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kavre.

A bus with number Ba 2 Kha 4894 coming from Nala towards Banepa hit Tamang at 9 am on Saturday.

Similarly, a Bolero with number Ba 19 Cha 5747 in Banepa-8 killed a pedestrian, Gangalal Manandhar, 80, of Pulbazaar, Banepa-10. Manandhar, who was seriously injured in the collision with the Bolero, also died at Sheer Memorial Hospital in Banepa, DSP Bista informed.

The police have taken both the vehicle and the driver who hit the pedestrian into custody and are taking action.
