With two-thirds of the current fiscal year, i.e. eight months, the Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been able to spend only a quarter of the development budget (capital expenditure).
In a public hearing organized on Thursday to provide information about the plans and programs and service delivery completed by the metropolis in the second quarter, the metropolis's Chief Administrative Officer, Birendra Dev Bharti, informed that the capital budget is 2.6 billion 7.7 million 68 thousand 119 rupees, of which 658 million 85 million 670 thousand 670 rupees have been spent so far.

Chief Administrative Officer Bharti informed that the physical progress of the Gautam Buddha International Stadium, which is the main and pride project of the metropolis, has reached 45 percent. 348 million rupees have been spent on the construction of the stadium. But Bharti said that the amount provided by the Bagmati Province government has not been released yet.
