A woman riding a scooter has died after being hit by a tanker carrying petroleum products (oil) at Nipani Chowk, Ratnanagar-9.
According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the scooter (Na 55 Pa 8077) that was coming out of the inner road was hit by a tanker (Lu 2 Kha 2894) at around 3:30 pm.
Mina Regmi of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7, who was sitting behind the scooter, died on the spot, said District Police Spokesperson DSP Rabindra Khanal.
Police have stated that the scooter driver, Purna Sapkota of Bharatpur-7, is in a normal condition. Police have taken the tanker driver, Kalsuwan Tamang of Rapti Municipality-7, into custody. After the incident, the vehicle has been driven using other roads.
