Hetauda FM 99.6 MHz, located in Kamaldanda, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, has stopped broadcasting after the tower was broken due to a strong wind.
FM Chairman Ujjwal Chaulagain said that the FM's broadcasting was stopped after the 120-meter-high tower of the FM was broken in the middle due to a strong wind last night. He said that the tower along with the broadcast antenna was broken, causing damage worth about 1.5 million rupees.
Preparations are underway to repair the broken tower and bring the radio back into operation.
