In the election for members of the House of Representatives, the National Independent Party has come first in the proportional representation in Makawanpur. It has garnered 73,792 votes.
In the direct election, the RPP candidates were victorious in both the constituencies of Makawanpur. The UML has come second with 27,690 votes. The National Change Party (Basuri) has come third with 24,749 votes.
The Nepali Congress has come fourth with 23,638 votes, while the NCP has come fifth with 17,898 votes, said Hari Prasad Dhakal, head of the Provincial Election Office.
In the proportional representation, the RPP has come 5,577 votes, while the Shram Sanskriti Party has come 3,091 votes. There were 318,641 voters in Makawanpur, which has two constituencies. Out of that, 188,266 votes were cast.
One lakh 80 thousand 809 votes were valid while 7 thousand 457 votes, or 3.96 percent of the votes, were invalid.
