Out of 23 candidates including 13 political parties and 10 independents, only five including the winning candidate have saved their deposits.
Similarly, in Makawanpur-2, apart from the candidates of 4 parties, the deposits of other parties and independent candidates have been confiscated. The candidates of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Congress, UML and NCP had managed to save their deposits. The deposits of 19 people, including parties and independents, were confiscated.
9 candidates in this area could not get even 50 votes. 23 people had filed their candidacies in that area. 86,724 votes were valid in Makawanpur-2. 5,497 votes were invalidated.
