Four people were killed in an auto-rickshaw accident that occurred on Saturday in Darbetar near Shaktikhor, Kalika Municipality-9, on the Shaktikhor-Fishing Road in the hilly region of the district. One person was injured in the accident. His condition is moderate, according to the Chitwan District Police Office.
The deceased in the accident are the auto-rickshaw driver Purna Bahadur Bik, 39, of Rapti Municipality-9, Bishnu Kumari Tamang, 56, of Rapti-8, Bini Tamang, 22, of Rapti-9, and Tilak Tamang, 55, of the same place.
DSP Khanal said that Chini Kumari, 53, of Rapti-9, is undergoing treatment at the Old Medical College Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur, Gurung.
The auto-rickshaw (Ba Pra 06-001 Ha 0315) was coming from Upardanggadhi in the hilly region of the district towards Shaktikhor when the accident occurred. DSP Khanal said that the rickshaw lost control and fell into the drain.
