64.12 percent of the votes were cast in Chitwan on Thursday for the post of member of the House of Representatives. There were a total of 442,082 voters in Chitwan, which has three constituencies. Of these, 283,428 voters voted, informed Chitwan District Election Officer Bhimsen Karki. The highest number of votes was cast in Chitwan-3.

According to the details of the Election Office, the number of women who voted in all three constituencies of Chitwan is higher. Out of the total voters in Chitwan, there were 224,766 women, 217,314 men and two other voters.
According to the Election Office, 151,135 women and 132,293 men voted. There are 149,641 voters in Chitwan-1, 137,152 in Chitwan-2 and 155,309 in Chitwan-3. 64.26 percent of the voters in Chitwan-1, 63.59 percent in Chitwan-2 and 64.46 percent in Chitwan-3 voted.
There were 494 polling stations in 162 polling stations in Chitwan. Immediately after the voting, those who cast their votes from the polling stations are coming to the counting center. The counting of votes in Chitwan-1 will be held at Bhuwani Shankar College in Khairhani, at the Exhibition Center of the Industry Association in Bharatpur in Chitwan-2 and the counting of votes in Chitwan-3 will be held at the Agriculture and Forestry University in Rampur.
A total of 64 candidates are in the election race, including 18 independents in Chitwan-1, 23 independents in Chitwan-2 and 23 independents in Chitwan-3. Chitwan-2 candidate Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) Central President Rabi Lamichhane did not get to vote. Although he was a candidate in Chitwan, he did not vote in Kathmandu-3.
Lamichhane had won by a wide margin from Chitwan-2 in the 2079 BS election. Rabi had won by an even larger margin when the by-election was held in that area in Baisakh 2080.
Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Central Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal voted at Nepal Police School Polling Station 'K' in Shantipur, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-14, Chitwan-3. Dahal is a candidate from Rukum East. Govinda Puri, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chitwan District Police Office, said that voting was conducted peacefully at all polling stations and centers in Chitwan. Although voting was scheduled to begin at 7 am, voters had reached the polling stations by 5:30 am.
Ballot boxes are being collected from polling stations and the Election Officer's office plans to seal all the ballot boxes once they arrive and hold an all-party meeting to begin the counting.
Chitwan-3 Election Officer Balkrishna Niraula said that the Election Officer's office is ready to begin the counting as per the decision of the all-party meeting.
