Truck/tipper operations have also been banned in Kavre from Falgun 18 to 22. Keeping in mind the election security, the District Security Committee has decided to ban the operation of trucks and tippers transporting river and mining materials throughout the district.
The District Administration Office, Kavre, has issued a notice, stating that since security sensitivity may increase during the upcoming elections, trucks/tippers operating with river and mining materials including bricks, gravel, sand have been instructed not to operate for the specified period.
As per the decision, transportation will be banned throughout the district from Falgun 18 to 22. The administration has informed the concerned construction entrepreneurs, transportation entrepreneurs and stakeholders about this and urged them to cooperate in implementing the decision.0
The Election Commission has already decided to ban the operation of public and private vehicles from 12:00 pm on Falgun 20 until the voting is completed.
The High-Level Election Security Committee meeting formed pursuant to Section 3 of the Election Security (Management) Directive, 2078 BS has taken this decision regarding the effective security arrangements for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. On the day of voting, essential service vehicles (ambulances, fire engines, hearses, blood transfusion services, vehicles of security agencies, those used for electricity maintenance, water supply and sewage maintenance, and telecommunication services) will operate. Vehicles of diplomatic missions and vehicles that have obtained passes for use on election day will also operate.
