A young man who was found injured on the side of the Araniko Highway in Balefi Rural Municipality-6, Amaltar, has died during treatment. According to the Area Police Office, Barhabise, after receiving information that a person was seriously injured on the side of the road on Sunday night, a team of 10 people, including traffic police, was deployed to the scene under the command of Police Inspector Krishna Khadka from the Area Police Office, Barhabise. 

The injured person is Pradeep Nepali, about 35, of Balefi-6. “He had a serious head injury and was found unable to speak,” said Prani Khadka. 

The police said that based on the initial situation at the scene, it is suspected that he was hit by a vehicle. Angry locals, saying that they could not save the vehicle and driver, have blocked the road leading to the deceased’s village at Balefi-7, Amaltar, on the Araniko Highway. The police team immediately sent the injured person to Barhabise Municipal Hospital. Shortly after reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead at 1:20 am during treatment. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
