As of Friday morning, 134 prisoners are still at large among those who broke through the walls of the Bhimphedi Regional Jail during the Gen-G movement. Of those who escaped, 26 are Indian citizens.
Out of the 440 prisoners who escaped from Bhimphedi Prison, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force have arrested 306 from various places in Makawanpur.
134 are still absconding. 39 Indian nationals escaped by breaking the prison wall. Of these, 13 entered the prison, while 26 are still absconding. Bhimphedi Prison Deputy Superintendent Kedar Sapkota said. 440 prisoners escaped by breaking the walls of ‘A’ and ‘B’ blocks of Bhimphedi Prison at 12:30 am on Bhadra 24. 306 of the absconders have been arrested.

According to the District Police Office Makawanpur, the police have arrested 74 people from various places in Makawanpur who escaped from the Central Prison in Kathmandu, Nakkhu Prison, Bharatpur, Kaski, Tanahun and other prisons. They have also been kept in Bhimphedi Prison. Currently, there are 975 prisoners, including 35 women, in Bhimphedi Prison. 44 of them are foreign nationals. Before the prison break, there were 1,066 prisoners in Bhimphedi Prison.
5 children still absconding from the juvenile correctional home
72 children escaped from the juvenile correctional home in Thanabharyang, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11 on the morning of Bhadra 25.
The police have taken 67 of them under control, while 5 are still absconding. Pradeep Gautam, the head of the correctional home, said, "They have not even reached home, nor are they in contact." Among those who have escaped so far are those on drug and extortion charges. There were 94 spoiled children in the children's home. Now there are 84 children in the children's home.
