The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Hetauda, has arrested two people, including an officer of the Transport Management Office, Hetauda, and an accountant who worked as a middleman, for demanding bribes from service recipients.
Amrit Bhetuwal, an officer working at the Transport Management Office in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City, and Khagendra Poudel, an accountant, were arrested by a team deployed from the Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Hetauda on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint and information that they were demanding bribes from service recipients for the purpose of agreeing to transfer vehicles, a team deployed from the Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Hetauda arrested them after they had already taken a bribe of 11,500 (eleven thousand five hundred rupees) from the service recipient.
Both of them were taken into custody along with 3 mobile sets from the Transport Management Office in Hetauda-11 on Tuesday and are being investigated further, said Bimochan Ghimire, Information Officer of the Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Hetauda.
