The identity of the scooter driver who died after being hit by a tipper has been revealed.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Twanti of the Area Police Office, Banepa, this morning, a tipper with Bagmati Province-01-004 Ka 3423 hit the Banepa Telecom Chowk, killing the driver of a scooter with Bagmati Province-02-063 Pa 9189, Oman Pradhan, 30, of Dhulikhel Municipality Ward No. 5, Kavre.

After the incident, angry citizens set the tipper on fire and pelted stones at the police. The police fired some tear gas shells to control the situation. The Araniko Highway, which was blocked after the incident, has been reopened.
