A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a tipper in Sannantar, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-19, on the East-West Road section.
The motorcycle rider was injured. The motorcycle (Lu 34 Pa 4675) coming from Manahari towards Hetauda was hit by a tipper (Ba.Pra 03-001 Kha 1179) coming from the same direction, killing 28-year-old Jagdish Tharu of Rupendehi on the spot, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
The motorcycle rider, Aditya Chaudhary (22) of Rapti Rural Municipality-6, Dang, was injured. He is undergoing treatment at the Hetauda Hospital. The tipper and driver who fled after hitting the motorcycle have been taken into custody by the police at the Wasamadi Levat Post.
