Volunteers in various municipalities of Makawanpur are providing voter education in their mother tongue. Volunteers in most wards of Raksirang and Kailash rural municipalities in Makawanpur-2 constituency are providing voter education in the Chepang language.

Raksirang and Kailash rural municipalities are municipalities with a majority of Chepang community, and the literacy rate here is also very low. Volunteers from Thaha Municipality are also providing voter education in the Tamang language.

According to the 2078 census, Tamang speakers are in the majority in Thaha Municipality. Municipalities have also appointed ward/ward volunteers as voter education volunteers based on the community of the ward. 

A voter education program has been conducted in 102 wards of Makawanpur since Sunday. With the aim of reducing invalid votes in the House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21, the Provincial Election Office, Hetauda, ​​has trained monitors to conduct voter education in all 102 wards of the district. 

Voter education will be provided to all voters in each ward by visiting their homes. One observer from each municipality of Makawanpur was trained. The trained observers have trained one person from each ward of their municipality and have conducted a voter education program at the ward level. 

Child development facilitators or women volunteers from each ward have been mobilized for the voter education program. The head of the Provincial Election Office, Hetaunda, Hari Prasad Dhakal said that the voter education program will be conducted until Falgun 17.  

In Makawanpur, 4.46 percent of the votes were invalid in Makawanpur-1 in the direct phase of the 2079 House of Representatives election and 3.93 in the proportional phase. Similarly, in Makawanpur-2 in the direct phase of the 2079 House of Representatives election, 4.76 percent of the votes were invalid in Makawanpur-2 and 4.85 in the proportional phase.

There are 158,435 voters in Makawanpur-1, which has two constituencies, while there are 156,899 voters in Constituency No. 2. Out of the total number of voters in Makawanpur, 315,334, 153,376 are women and 5 are other voters.
