The competition, which will be inaugurated at the Hoopra square in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, will be held for three days.
The Makawanpur District-level President's Running Shield Competition is scheduled to be held in Hetauda from February 21.
The competition will be organized by the Makawanpur District Sports Development Committee from Falgun 2 to 3, informed District Sports Development Committee Chairman Rajkumar Moktan.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the District Sports Development Committee located in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4. The competition, which will be inaugurated at the Hoopra square in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, will be held for three days.
There will be six categories of games in the competition. According to Chairman Moktan, the competition will include volleyball, wushu, taekwondo, karate, kabaddi and athletics. Players selected from the district-level President's Running Shield will compete in the competition.
Chairman Moktan said that this competition was organized to take talented players from the municipal level to the national level through the district, to showcase their sports skills and to develop their capacity. The winners of the competition will receive certificates along with gold, silver and bronze medals.
It is estimated that the cost of the competition will be around Rs 1 million. This is a qualifying competition for the provincial-level President's Running Shield competition. Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City won the title of the district-level President's Running Shield competition last year.
