In the eight years since the formation of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, 90 bills have been passed. So far, 89 of the 90 bills passed by the Provincial Assembly have been certified by the provincial chief and have been implemented.

The bill to make provisions for the management and control of provincial-level lottery has been withdrawn from the provincial chief and is again under consideration in the thematic committee under the provincial assembly, said Purna Bahadur Darji, secretary of the Bagmati provincial assembly secretariat. According to him, 93 bills have been registered in the provincial assembly so far.

Similarly, Secretary Darji said that 50 main acts have been passed by the provincial assembly and 21 amendments have been passed. Of the 14 ordinances registered in the provincial assembly, 100 percent have been approved, seven have been replaced, and five have been deactivated, he said.

The last time the provincial assembly registered the bill to make provisions for the provincial financial procedures and financial accountability and the bill to make provisions for the provincial drinking water and sanitation.
