The International Dairy Exhibition (Expo) is starting from Sunday at the Industrial Exhibition Center (Expo Center) in Bharatpur.
The expo, which will have various stalls related to milk production, will run until Thursday, Magh 29. The expo has been jointly organized by the Chitwan Industry Association and the Chitwan District Milk Producers Cooperative Association Limited. Last year, a national-level dairy expo was held.
‘As per the suggestion given by exhibitors, visitors, and other concerned bodies to hold an international dairy exhibition during the National Dairy Expo last year, this time we have organized an international expo by inviting various exhibitors from India to participate,’ said Chitwan Industry Association President Madan Ghimire.
He said that the exhibition is being held with the main slogan ‘Technology in the dairy industry, growth in the economy’.
New technologies are constantly emerging in the dairy industry and milk production sector. Such expos are also held in various cities in India from time to time. "We are going to organize such an exhibition to provide an opportunity to learn about new tools, equipment, methods and technologies in the field of milk production and dairy industry in the country," said Chitwan District Milk Producers Cooperative Association President Kishore Bagale. The
exhibition will have around 100 stalls. Bagale said that various activities related to dairy will be held during this period in addition to the stalls. He informed that an oratory competition on the need and importance of milk for human health, a seminar on the current state of milk production and the market, and a quiz competition related to milk production will be held during the expo. Bagale said that farmers involved in milk production, people associated with milk cooperatives, and all types of small and large dairy industrialists can benefit from the
expo. Advanced breed cows will also be exhibited. He said that a dairy food festival will also be held. Bagale said that a program to honor the best milk cooperatives has also been organized. Organizers expect about 50,000 people from across the country to visit the expo.
