A salamander conference is being held in Madi in coordination with the Division Forest Office. According to the head of the office, Bishnu Prasad Acharya, the conference is being organized with the active participation of the heads of the Division Forest Offices within Bagmati Province, representatives of the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department, Chitwan National Park, community forests, and conservation workers.

The current status of the protected wildlife salamander, reasons for its conservation, and challenges will be discussed at the conference. According to Acharya, more than 200 people, including representatives of various organizations involved in conservation and experts, will participate in the conference.

The current status of the salamander, challenges seen in conservation, and future directions will be discussed at the conference. He said that the conference will conclude with the issuance of the Madi Declaration for salamander conservation along with the discussion. He said that since salamanders are friends of farmers, their conservation is also indispensable.

The National Parks Act 2029 has listed the salak as a protected wildlife and the salak is now in an endangered state. He said that everyone's cooperation is needed for its conservation.

Kedar Baral, Secretary of the Bagmati Province Ministry of Forest and Environment, informed that they are going to hold the first salak conference in Nepal.
