Police have arrested a man on charges of defrauding a person by promising to exchange US dollars at a cheap rate.
According to Superintendent of Police Kazi Kumar Acharya of the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, a police team was mobilized on Sunday after receiving information that a dollar exchange would be conducted at a cheap rate in Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-1, Thulo Dhading.
The police have said that 35-year-old Bishwaraj Tamang, who has a permanent address in Bahrabise Municipality-4 and is currently residing in the same place, has been taken into custody from the same place.

Initial investigation revealed that Tamang had repeatedly called the victim to come closer, convinced him that he was someone he knew, and had been defrauding the victim of Nepali rupees by sending photos and videos of dollars on social media.
