Police have arrested three prisoners who escaped from Bhimphedi Prison and Juvenile Reformatory in Hetauda during the protest on Bhadra 10.
During the protest, the defendants in the rape case, Munna Syangtan, aged 30, of Kailedanda, Bagmati Rural Municipality-6, Makawanpur District, and Bishal Gole, aged 22, of Hariyali, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-7, Makawanpur, who was absconding from Bhimphedi Prison, were arrested.
Similarly, the District Police Office, Makawanpur, has informed that the police have also taken a child who had absconded from the Hetauda Juvenile Correctional Home in the drug Brown Sugar case into custody.
A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Makawanpur and its subordinate offices found and took them into custody on Magh 17 and 18 during a search, the police said. The two arrested have been sent to Bhimphedi Prison and the child to the Hetauda Juvenile Correctional Home.
According to the police, the search for other absconding prisoners is also ongoing.
