At a program held in Bharatpur, candidates and party representatives emphasized the need to implement the code of conduct set for the election.

In a discussion organized by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and the Office of the Returning Officer for candidates and representatives of candidates from all three constituencies of Chitwan, along with other stakeholders, complaints were made that the so-called big parties and the so-called small parties were treated differently.

In the past, party representatives had complained that no action had been taken despite complaints. After the nominations were registered on Magh 20, candidates are reaching their homes to seek votes after receiving election symbols. ‘The so-called small parties are honest in following the code of conduct.’ The so-called big parties do not seem to be following it. In the past, there were activities like coming to the same place where we held programs and playing microphones loudly and making noise,’ said Devi Sharma, the candidate for Chitwan-2 from the National Janamorcha. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) District President Krishna Prasad Bhusal also made a similar complaint. ‘In the past election, the vehicle in which our candidate was travelling in Chitwan-2 was vandalized. There was talk of keeping money in the vehicle as material goods.’ And we have not heard of any action being taken in these incidents,' said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Bhusal.

Progressive Democratic Party (PRLP) representative Jhanak Poudel said that there should be a policy to take action against employees who do not take action against code of conduct violations. 'Employees who do not stop violations and do not take action even after filing complaints should also be taken action. There should be a provision for that too. It cannot be done just by writing it on paper. Everyone should work to implement it,' said Poudel.

Congress representative Bishnu Prasad Aryal said that the past example of no action taken even after giving information has raised the question of how the code of conduct is implemented.

Chitwan-2 Chief Election Officer District Judge Kedarnath Poudel appealed to file a complaint with the committee formed to monitor the election code of conduct. The Chief District Officer will be the co-coordinator of the committee formed under the coordination of the Chief Election Officer. Similarly, the member secretary of the seven-member committee will be the head of the District Election Office.

Chitwan Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal informed that 3500 employees have been managed in the district for election security. He said that if everyone follows the code of conduct, the election will be held peacefully and cleanly. 'There are things that should and should not be done in the code of conduct. Everyone should follow that,' said Chief District Officer Aryal. He appealed to immediately report violations.
